Wow, two posts in one day! We are definitely making up for lost time! We recently moved to Maryland because Dallin received an internship...I can't tell you with who, but it's a good one! We are so excited for this adventure and hopefully all goes well! But let me get you caught up with everything that's gone on in the past few months.
Our sweet little boy, Hamilton James, was born on 17 June 2008. I went into labor during my prenatal class. At first I was a little embarrassed, but honestly you can't get more convenient than going into labor in the hospital. Dallin was so relieved that he didn't have to make the mad rush to the hospital. Apparently I am a bad backseat driver...
Hamilton had really high levels of bilirubin in his blood after he was born, resulting in jaundice. He got to wear these sweet goggles in his tanning bed (aka the bililights bed). We had those lights for over a week and got to take him to the hospital every day to get his levels checked!
At a week old we took Hami back to the hospital for a sleep test. We noticed that he was breathing strangely and when we spoke to the doctor about it he thought that it might be caused by sleep apnea. Two days later we checked out of the hospital with an apnea monitor which monitored Hami's breathing and heartrate. I was a nervous wreck.
Luckily he got off of the monitor before we left for Maryland! I do miss having the monitor at night, but it was such a pain to pack around. Now Hami is a healthy growing boy and so adorable! Well...that's it for now but we promise we will keep you caught up on our new crazy lives in Maryland!
